Frio Suite
In February of 2009 I spent two weeks exploring the Frio River at the Laity Lodge Conference Center in the hill country of Texas. For this series I used the encaustic process (fusing melted beeswax) over digital photos adhered to wood panels.
Jeff Johnson and Phil Keaggy were at Laity the same time and in the months following created the Frio Suite full of rich, lyrical haunting melodies. Several of my images are included.
